Hello everyone!

I am from Croatia so please don't mind my english.

Let me tell you my story with Calibra, sad one may I say.

I hope, that soon she will be as new, only problem at the moment is money...

So let me begin:

My name is Mario, I was born in Osijek in Croatia, from childhood I wanted Manta however, the decision fell to Calibra 1993, with the 2.0 16v (redtop).

Since I bought the car from an friend, of course I was right from the start forced to work.
It was a cracked engine block.
What certainly did not say no immediately evident.
Broken at propeller alternator 6000 r/min , jumped a timing belt, hoses and cut down the water and electricity...

But do not give up.

I plan to disassemble the entire car to the last screw, give it to sandblasting, galvanizing, paint inside and out, to protect all new parts agree suspension, brake, engine, if possible, again with Coscast head and somehow get a kit that is similar to my ex-torn Zender .

Images are displayed more or less a timeline, I hope your support and knowledge.

I know that my Calibra is a golden example, just a bad experience with the masters,
recession in the Balkans just do not motivate people to work well, so all further papers have to work even though I have no time from work, if I wanted to drop a quality and durable.

If you have any constructive advice about what you all take care, what it's worth,
where to take the parts, etc.,

And one more thing, a Truck has taken advantage of the passage

Thx everyone!

Here are some new images without timetable
Finally a LPG is out of the Calibra - over 80kg - just the tank
All this lasted 13 hours with a cigar in his mouth and coffee on the roof ...
Since I have no money for VEMS or ViPeC the 2x2 Webber 45 will do just fine for a while
Engine and everything else will be taken out, so I can sandblast the mighty rust
Back seats are also a part of history, almost never used...
So much to do with so little money and time, but I will succeed my goal
Photos are taken with a cellphone

Hi, give some advice, the recession has slowed down work on the car, but I do not give up,
I would like to tune the XE but availability of parts and their prices are too much for my budget, the Croatian standard.
Overhead, coscast heads, intake lexmaul, Weber, ITB, nozzles, NOS, is too expensive.
My question, to you invest to improve XE because in almost all the opinions are divided 50:50 and cons.
I know that I should read all the forums from a to z, but I'm looking for advice here from you.
I want to improve my the financial situation, because my father is very ill.
Investing money in tuning and racing will bring me an minimal income of 1500euro a year, and return a bit of invested money.
Thanks!

P.S. Sorry for my bad english
