b204 calibra

by shane-h » Wed Jul 17, 2013 9:57 pm

i've copied and pasted this thread from another forum so if some references dont make sence then please ignore them

well, seeing as the cavalier was too rotten for my skills to sort it got scrapped back in febuary, i bought a replacement at the same time for the grand sum of £200 and over the last few months i have been been tinkering every now and then and this is a far as i've got so far

it started as a standard (bar the backbox) 1997 calibra complete with the ecowreck engine

plus side is that it has heated leather that works, oil and volt gauges and a s/s back box

downside is it needs a little welding and a new battery tray fitted

work completed so far is

b204 engine fitted along with the f18 gearbox, the gearbox is only a temp measure untill i can get a more suitible one for the engines power

spax lowering kit

5 stud conversion being collected next week

phase1 vectra gsi wheels

espace front splitter

i have fitted the oil pressure switch from the calibra to the saab engine so i can keep the oil gauge working

things to do are get it wired in

get and fit a slim fan

bodge an exhaust system up so i can get it mot'd (then off to longlife for a 3" system)

they'll be more to follow as and when i get time on it

pics from when i got it

No brainer really. I got the complete saab 9-3 for a third of the price of an let and could drive it to see how it performed before removal, you can't do that very often with an let
