My W.I.P

by John Owens » Thu Jun 12, 2014 6:18 am

Well last night seen me pop up to craigyboy's for some sunroof surgery . After stripping the roof cloth off Craig noticed that the bolts around the sunroof motor were all slack , especially the middle one . A quick tighten seen the roof working again ! Can't tell you how delighted I am :) Image

While the roof cloth was off a new ariel base was fitted as the jet for the rear skoosher was missing , a new seal was fitted too Image

Craig also made up a loom for some fancy courtesy lights that look fab in the dark ! :) Image

Top job again matey ! ;)

Give them all a tighten and put some areldite on them mate
that will stop them loosening off.

I've experienced that as well...

It's always a good idea to tighten the bolts for the Sunroof Motor, as they do indeed seem to loosen up, over the years...

Thanks Phil , I'm just about where I want to be with it. Another couple of small things to do to it & I'll be happy :)

My W.I.P

by John Owens » Tue Jun 17, 2014 6:43 pm

Went up to craigyboy's last night for a blether & a couple of wee bits to get done , I noticed water running down his driveway , closer inspection reveal water being skooshed onto the back of the engine from a hose next to the alternator / air intake :( off to the garage tomorrow as I just don't have the time to strip all that off....shonky old vauxhalls eh?! Lol :-P

Treated myself to these :) ^
