imo the oil thats all over it is from previous work dun to it,
eco is prone for leaking rocker cover gaskets and this one from what i can see has had a new one and the cover has been wiped down when they removed it,
when my eco's head went you knew it had gone so lets give it faith and start with a new water pump first

Water pump? How can I check it? I believe I can take the thermostat out connect some wires from battery and see if it opens n shuts

to be fair its one of the first two things you replace on a car when you first get it. i've always replaced the belt and water pump on whatever car i buy, even if the previous owners told me its no long been done

its a piece of mind thing :D
BETTER TO HAVE A CALIBRA AND NOT NEED ONE, THAN NEED A CALIBRA AND NOT HAVE ONE!!!

Try a thermostat and reverse flush all your hoses, paying close attention to the matrix pipes, I had an Xe running warm with poor heating and this solved it, although if there's excess pressure it would suggest H/G failure, Have you done a sniffer test?

Yesterday, I replaced the rocker cover gasket and the 'O' ring seals too as it looks like the rocker gasket had been changed but not fitted well and the rings had definitely not been changed. So that should solve the issue of oil leaking in that area, we also found out that the header tank level sensor isn't working so that why it's throwing the light on for radiator level,
Image

Then the washer jets pump has a leak looks like someone has tried to do a bit of repair work but failed.

And this morning I drained about 2.5litres of oil out, due to making an error and over filling it, as the dip stick I had in it I misread and thought it didn't have enough but then noticed the end has actually snapped off, and the dipstick I now have in it is totally different so hard to judge but from how much we put in I still have the bottle and it was roughly around 2.5 litres, light still on so may drain a little more when I have the time.
(Only bottle I had spare lol)

But still having the pressure issue, rich says it's fine but after a short journey to the cinema, when I came out turned the ignition key over I noticed the rad level light come on so I lifted the bonnet and checked and the water level was at the bottom of the bottle but this morning was 3/4 of the way up, looked at the radiator and hoses and noticed water dripping from under one of the hoses, I'm going out on a lim here to say it's building with that much pressure its forcing the water through anything it can which can't be good so I really am getting fed up now, so I topped the level up with a bottle of water I had, and drove it 2.6 miles home, once I got home I checked the hose again still could feel water but the hoses were so pressurised it was untrue, now I know every car is different but iv never known hoses to be so pressured up like this, I could barely squeeze it.

Sniffer test???????? Never heard of that

Flushed?

When changing the rad we emptied all the water, ran it a few times and each time topped the water up if need till the level stayed the same for a while, also ta it with expansion tank off in case of any trapped air.

Head gasket mate, as I said earlier in your post I had the exact same symptoms, get it tested to make sure, but i'm going with the head gaskets gone.
