fuse 2 keeps blowing and battery light on

Any electrical issues

hi ive just brought a 16v eco and after about a week the no 2 fuse keeps blowing straight away,and the battery light is now on .
due to the fuse blowing it takes my radio,amd rev counter,fuel and temp guages out .
PLEASE HELP IF U CAN

Silly question, I know, but is the fuse the correct amp rating?

YES ITS ITS A 20 AMP FUSE ALSO TRYED A 30 AMP BLEW THAT AS WELL

mine did that yesterday, as soon as i used the cigerette lighter, i pushed it in, kept it pushed in, the next thing i know the radio, the rear screen heater, and most of the lights on the dash went. i paniced! but i just changed the fuse and im not gonna use the lighter anymore!

If the battery light is always on this can be a sign of a failing alternator.

I HAVE SORTED IT OUT TONITE IT WAS A COUPLE OF WIRES TOUCHING <THE GLOVE BOX LIGHT>AFTER REMOVING MOST OF THE DASH I FOUND IT .
TYPICAL 2 MIN JOB TOOK 7 HOURS AND ABOUT 25 FUSES

Nice one - glad to hear it's sorted.

No doubt if you had taken it to a garage they almost certainly would have put a new alternator on which would have resolved nothing!
