temperature display unit

does the temperature display unit display the temperature from inside the car or out side? the reason i ask is, mine is constanly reading 70 or higher, is this normal or is the temperature sensor broke? also is the temperature sensor located behind the roof lining near the sunroof?

god don't take the roof lining off, the outside temp sensor is clipped onto the front bumper at the passenger side
