high beams on when stalk is off?

I have an issue.. when the indicator stalk is in the normal postition with lights on, the main beams are on. Flick stalk forward and main beams are off!? They work the total opposite of what they should.
Any ideas whats happened here and where to look first?

Change the stalk.

to change the stalk will take you 20 min in total!! easy to do aswell

yeah mine went last year kept flashing people on the road - easy 5 min job just clips off once the shroud is removed

you should have said 1 year and 20ims then as it always takes you about a year to get your finger out

It'd take me 5mins to take it out, then a further 3 weeks trying to repair it before giving up and buying a new one!

Think you may have bought this from us. A friend had been borrowing the car for a few months and he has recently told me that he switched the wires to stop the car flashing at people. So you may just need to swap them back. You will still need to get a new stalk though

Hi, yes I did. I just got another switch from ebay which solved the problem.
