yee it should but it was the only thing i could think of that is that long and comes up the back, i dont know the manifold on the 20L that well but is there a not a sensor down the back ICV or somthing like that is it conected

looks like the oil level sensor wire.

Still trying to find out what the hell this plug does... will be having yet another look tonight...

the wires are 100% brown and brown/green...

The other end does just join up with the wiring loom... so no idea where it should go...

did you take the wires out that they had between the terminals ???...did any lights come on??

I think leelee is right, exactly the same connector is for your oil level sensor at the top & front of the sump

i agree, found it on the wiring diagram in the haynes and the oil level switch has brown, brown/green wires and would make sense that i get no EML light with it unplugged as its not part of that circuit...

so whereabouts does it plug in?

no not the EML light, but the oil level light should have come on
