2 Problems on SE9 Help Needed

Oil Pressure Gauge, needle goes right across to opposite stop when ignition is turned on, Speedo sometimes works or will stop in 80mph position and stay there, weird all suggestions are welcome as I am not a mechanic and trying to restore an SE9 V6, thanks.

pressure guage will be the sender unit or connector to the sender, give the connection a clean.

All V6's after 96 should have a battery & volt gauge fitted as standard, location of sender unit in pic.

My oil pressure gauge went the same way last week, I found a break in the wire that connects to the pressure switch body, the plug in the middle is for the oil pressure light that was ok
