This car is p****n me off now, today I went back to the drawing board and did a compression test and its very low around 50psi or 4 bar ish on 2 and 110psi ish on the others. Did not do a wet test and I have noticed the oil light is not going off wile cranking.

thinking of draging the car for a bit to build the compression.

Did wet compression test and got good results and I know this is nothing mechanical.

I hope not as they were replaced on a rebuild before, they may just need a kick in the bum

which 2? at 50psi somethings most wrong, no point moving it, its not likely to be the hydraulics unfortunately.. whats on the other 2?

if it's better wet most certainly it's a ring or bore problem, if this engine has been rebuilt what has been done to it?

Ring or bore problem won't cause injectors not to pulse though, thats the issue here

Likewise i dont think a compression test is relevant.

Questions
1) Is crank sensor known good and plugged in?
2) Is single black ignition live wire connected?
3) Is the dizzy known good? (this stopped my injectors pulsing via the cam sensor somehow!)

head gasket whent on the way to billing (2006) I think damageing the piston so I replaced the damaged ones with second hand and fitted new ring and all bearing done. The head was off another 2 times because it was skimmed to much so this time the head came off and skrapped. The new head has been skimmed and tested.
The block has been without a head for 2 months and the rings could of sized and I'm hopeing that when it runns and gets some heat into them they will free up.

Crank sensor was working.
Single black wire by the coil is conected.
The dis was ok but 1 of the bolt holes snapped when I stripped it.
The car was sat on a drive for 2-3 years.

agreed Ben, but that doesn't seem his only issue

how badly was the piston damaged? no bore damage? is that the cylinder with the low compression

the bores were honed and there was only 1 cylinder with low compression before the head came off number 4 and when i did the dry test it was around 110psi as was number 3 but 1 and 2 had 50psi.
