Any electrical issues

Steering wheel horn

by Calibra_Mike » Sat Jun 30, 2012 9:37 am

Im guessing this is an electrical problem...

Ive just got hold of a Momo steering wheel and boss kit to suitm however I dont seem to have any way of connecting up the horn, the wheel has a horn push with the right connections on the back, so Im guessing I need to run a wire from said connection to the bottom of the boss to make a contact with something on the steering collum? this is the part of fitting a steering wheel thats always defected me in the past... anyone got any information or advice what to do...

I think the boss kit is missing an adapter ring something li9ke this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/aftermarket-h ... 3375968474

I'll get some photos up to show what Im working with...

no airbag in new one, surely if you remove the airbag lamp how would they know if it came with one or not, some models of Calibra didn't after all

oh I think Autodata have a chart out with the list of what cars have airbags and what the light should do. Only pre 93 cars came without an airbag

I've just this weekend fitted an aftermarket steering wheel with a momo boss. Also wired up the horn.

Let us know if you still need some info on it and I will try to explain how I wired mine up for ya.
