Central Locking gone mad

by Robs-se » Wed Jan 30, 2013 4:15 am

A few months back the passenger side door lock stopped working so had to be manually opened from inside. My locking
is remote on a Cobra alarm system so is keyless. So i sourced a second hand ECU and passenger door lock/motor ready
to fit once weather got better.
As the winter went on the car started to struggle to start until yesterday when the battery gave up.
Charged it up and now the bluddy central locking seems to be working ok. I know i have a drain on the battery
suspect being the after market alarm but would a reduced voltage do this to the locking system? low batteries
in the past have never done this so anyone any more ideas as to why it happened? answers on a postcard and sent to
this address............

so your question is....why has the central locking started working as it should after changing the battery

might have just reset the motor with changing the battery

Started to do the same thing today, not working on the fob as before and then this evening started working as it should. Totally flumuxed now so once the back gets better i shall start swapping bits over and see what happens :(
