'97 V6 CALIBRA
I have the ABS light coming on and ABS "engaging" when I brake very occasionally
I'll be driving along and ABS light will come on for a couple of seconds then go out
It will come on and engage when I brake randomly
Had all disc's and pads changed six month's ago
All OK until about a week ago
Had a look around all appears OK
At a loss as to what to look for and check
Any advice welcome

Regards

clean the ABS sensor & wire brush around the 'teeth' on the back of the disc has to be the starting point

Thanks for the responses
Carried out paper clip test
Reporting fault as below
39 Both LH Front Speed Sensor Signal poor or absent. Check Air Gap & Operation
I guess LH is nearside ?
How do I check Air Gap & Operation ??
Apart from a good clean up

Make it a point of habit that every time the brakes are looked at you give your ring a clean!

I had exactly the same symptoms on mine when one of the ABS rings at the back axle developed a crack. Changed it & no bother at all afterwards. But as mentioned above, might be a rust or dirt built up on the rings too.
