Calibra Turbo - KYB Excel G vs KYB Ultra SR

Hi guys,

It's time to replace the front shock absorbers on my cali turbo 4x4 '96. Except a few stickers, the car is in complete stock condition... not lowered, no body kits, not tuned.. etc. running on stock 16 alloys and 205/50 R16 tires.

I was thinking of buying KYB shock absorbers as I can get some discount for them. Research showed there are 2 available KYB shocks, Excel G and Ultra SR series....

I wonder if any of you guys have experience with them? Apparently Excel G series are replacements for stock ones and Ultra SR are for 'performance' (for whatever that means) and extra stability, steering... etc.

KYB are not that common in the UK, but by the sounds of that you will have more comfort with Excel G and a more firm ride with the other one but better handling...so depends what you wish from the car (and how good your roads are)

Mate...

Where are you from???
What are Your thoughts on the New Shocks so far???

I'm thinking of replacing my KYB Shocks very soon, as they've done about 60,000Km
Even though they still seem fine, but it's always hard to tell unless they are fully kaput...
