Baz if you want the Gmax kit then buy it and fit it, there are more people happy with the kit then there are that aren't.

yep guys i have standard v6 dampers with second hand spax lowering springs which were fitted to the car a few years ago for £10 and they sorted the car for the mot at the time but now they have started to bugger the dampers up so thats why soon im going to replace for a full kit.

I myself have also looked at other combinations of springs /shocks but its a cost , ive looked on all forums and they have mixed views to be honest

1)one you have someone or a few of you saying that they are fecking crap etc

2)ive had them and theyve done a greatjob , a nice replacement and my kit hasnt made the tyres wear (i know that could of been not having balancing done properly etc.

robv is correct there are a lot more for than against ,ive even found a supersprint kit on lmf for £210 including everything but its not for the v6 but 2.0/16v/4x4 combinations.

if i could get a good combination for under £250 then great but i dont know what other combinations would be good.

because its already lowered and i like it as it therefore it makes sense to stick with it, picture this andy:

the first picture shows you how the car was on stilts lol but i like the ride height as it is but with a proper kit on it not half and half.

Baz why are you changing the springs ? why not use the spax springs with a set of Billy shocks ? theres no need to buy new springs

I'm not saying they don't look better lowered because they do.
But I personally would not lower one unless I sorted the rear camber at the same time.

Baz, get a complete 2nd hand setup and put some 19's on it. 8)

never said that the G max is crap, just I would not rate it, nor would I fit it as I dont think they are good enough for the way I like the car to handle

same as linglong tyres do the job, but I bet not many would recommend than

its your car your choice your money so if you cant afford the best set up, go for what you can afford if thats G max then carry on if its that one from LMF then get them

if your really skint take the springs off and cut a coil off that will lower it

thats right rob and as you can see from the rear its slightly raised more as thats the shocks that are worn. and you can bounce on the rear of the car and it moves more than it should.

but the camber isnt really much problem as its only between 30-40mm lowered not 60mm + and i only have one ling long tyre now as i recently had to replace the two front tyres .
