thanks for the offer mate but i will leave for now , i cant do anything until the start of next year anyway , but are you saying you like the springs more than the shocks lol

anyway why go on and on about wanting to change your shocks for the last 3 pages and then decline the offer of a cheap set of shocks that you want, i dont understand :think:
plus the fact that you've not even asked how much i want for them surprises me even more. ah well i'll just stick them on the bay when their removed on saturday. unless anyone else wants them :mrgreen:

well thanks to my brother from another mother v6 steve for the help today thats the bilsteins now fitted to the v6 :D

noticed a big difference even on the short drive home, still undecided about the springs on wither i'll be changing them or not but time will tell i guess :think:

Hi my cally 2.0i is sittin on standard shocks n springs with 17s theres a gap of about a 100mm between the arch and tyre which i think needs sorting. Which set up would you guys use? I had a set of gmax on my cav gsi and it was a hard ride and the rear spring broke after about 18 months. but that was down to pot holes i think.

down to personal requirements i suppose, i put a full g-max kit on mine last year but found it a bit bouncy at higher speeds (on private roads) this is why i've changed to the bilsteins (had them on my old 8v)

one set up most go for is bilstein shocks and either eibach or apex springs with a 40mm drop. although it is a harder ride. if its a softer ride you want go with the g-max kit but personally i wouldn't recommend them

Baz your off your head mate Allys shocks are just over a year old with next to no miles on them and the will defo be better than you have on your se9, i know how much he wants for them and that makes it even mader that you didnt ask him how much, your loss somone else's gain

sorry ally mate, ive not been able to get on here as much etc and even though im sure they are great shocks as i said i couldnt do anything till next year time i did say its ok thanks for the offer but i would leave things till next year as im looking into other things but sorry i never got back to you.

Sorry to say Baz i picked up the shocks of Ally for super cheapness,excellent condition they were and looked as if they hadnt been fitted .
