I reckon i will use my kit to push a complete flush through, then do half a dozen pumps the manual way.

Could be a leaky resevoir/master cylinder
Nothing succeeds like a budgie with nae teeth

I've got one of those one-man bleeding kits but it never works. In fact when you connect it up to the spare tyre there is usually too much pressure in the tyre so it forces brake fluid out from the brake reservoir :(
