Front bumper, with or without grill badge

by tiff_lee » Sat Nov 20, 2010 5:54 pm

Hi all, many of the calibras I have seen feature no grill badge at all or some kind of mesh grill. Is it just a case of modifying the original bumper or are these aftermarket items?

Also what's everyone's opinion on removing front grill badge etc

If its the old one you have to fill the recess where the badge went and respray the bonnet...if the newer with V-grill...the V-grill can be taken off the bumper but leaves 4 small squarish recesses in the top of the bumper that need filling and spraying!..and a small hole where the bottom of the V secures to the bumper?..I believe

EASY DECISION...

100% Keep It... It's put there for a reason...

I had mine removed recently, when I got the car re-sprayed!
It just looked like that balance was missing, and it felt so wrong to me!
All the later Model Calibra's have it there, so don't downgrade!

Plus, it gives the Calibra that distinct look

Plenty of 1994 L/M plate Calibras had the plain grille - I thought the switch was made in 1995?
