Looking to do a boot build, I've already selected the amp and subs I want just need to find the cheapest prices, any on-line places I should try

Buy a copy of Fast car or Max power magazine. I know you might not like the magazine but towards the back of the mag there are loads of companys that sell ICE. Some of these are VERY cheap for good quality items

off a guy on ebay, also getting two new subs with it
the postage is a killed tho so me and my mate are ordering a load of stuff together to bring the price down

Right I've got my basic components for my boot install, 2 600W amps and 4 12" subs, this is going to be big!! Just started making the enclosures for the subs, may have some done for the Hook meet

it's 12mm WBP ply, I thinks it's actually lighter than MDF

And yes it is lighter than mdf, But harder to work with.
I get blown by Twins everyday !!!!

The old skyline gtr felt exciting even when it was in a car wash !!!!! :)

Hello mate, not sure if u should be using ply wood?? If u look on the manufacturers web sites with their recommended inclosures etc it always says made from mdf due to the density and stuff, makes the sound better. Not a chippy though so....

I'm only using ply cause it's free as I work for a building company, we don't use MDF we're not changing rooms you know

I'm no chippy but I did manage this so far, this is the main enclosure which will be sited behind the rear seats, the recess in the middle is for the power cap

Looks like its going to look good.
But i still think you should of used MDF for the sub boxes !!!!!!
As that looks to thin.
I get blown by Twins everyday !!!!

Looks like its coming along nicely, hope the ply works out alright otherwise it will be a wasted effort-good luck..
