V6 engine spec. Have I missed anything?

V6 engine spec. Have I missed anything?

by Chavtastic » Wed Apr 17, 2013 3:25 pm

Okay guys I'm almost finished on a V6 engine build, spec is as follows

Y32SE core built by Vauxhall V6 factory technician
OEM steel crank
All seals and gaskets replaced
Valves re-lapped with new stem seals
All bearings checked and ok
All gaskets and seals changed
New GM cambelt kit
Elring headset
New water pump
Metal cam covers with new seals and o-rings
GM plugs

On the tuning side:
OEM airbox with panel filter, and cold air feed going to front bumper intake.
70mm throttle body
3.8 bar FPR
Custom stainless tubular exhaust manifolds
No cats
C25XE aircon delete kit
C20XE lightweight billet flywheel
Lightweight bottom crank pulley
F28 gearbox with VTS locked box

I'm planning on removing the TC butterfly as well

I was wondering if there's anything obvious I've missed for performance or reliability

Thanks

Ooops forgot to add, new stat, stat pipe and heat exchanger is a later stainless one

It's on Omega lower intake, Calibra upper intake, 70mm t/b, X25XE management

Good shout.

I've seen flow tests and it's about 20-30% extra flow like that

Do the Vectra or Omega inlets clear the Calibra bonnet?

I didn't think they did.

Lowering the mounts isn't a big job, just some washers and longer bolts if it's a few mm... but the gear linkage might be affected.

I'd also be happy to cut out the underside of the bonnet where it caught the manifolds as it's being painted soon anyway
