Marquee

by Mark1 » Sun Jun 06, 2010 7:24 am

We would like to get a Marquee this year but the cost is a little on the high side being about £200 for a 10ftx20ft for the club to pay for. So what I'm asking is if you want to is to help with the cost of it. If everybody that is going which (is 20 at the moment) gave £10 then that would cover the cost. You don't need to pay now we will collect it at Billing. Thank you.

This will not be like last years one which liked the idea of flying lessons but like one that you would have seen on Migs :morons: stand.

Just to clarify things this is not like the one we had last year, this will be a proper Marquee that will be hired from a company, they will come along and erect this and then dismantle it after the show...so no sign writing please :)

as for the payments I am afraid that since it will have to be paid for before Billing, it would be better if the payments are made before the show

bank transfer is a lot quicker as it goes right into the account and it saves paypal taking a %

but I have sent the firm an email to check if they can supply one and to confirm the total price

For the sake of £10( four pints lol) . I am more than happy to help towards a marque. It saves anyone having to look after it and transport it to and from events and it's less likely to blow over my car again. .

Well said sean mate just some people just dont like parting with their money. I for one think its a good idea, if you dont want to donate then dont its your privilege so stop going on about it. £10 to give your stand some shelter so we can converse and have a laugh gets my vote!

The marque is also a focal point for people not from the club to come and talk about joining is it not? So it's a good idea to have one that wont blow down

we set the shop up and calenders so that the club could pay for this but we havent made enough money for the club to pay for it thats why Mark has asked if we will all put in.

I think its a great idear as last year after the BBq when the rain came on everyone went there own way insteed of as all having some place we could keep dry in together, its going to be one of thoses if we have it it wont rain kind of thing, but i would mean there is some where for us all to stay after the BBq and have some sort of party/dance without having to worry about what the weather is going to do.

They could have ( mods/admin) just put the price on to our stand price and no one would have been the wiser so stop being a :assshaking: and get your pennys out Mr Panda

Just spoke to Guy at Apple Marquee's and have taken the step of just booking this as they are rapidly running out of Marquees

Details are they will come along and erect this on the Friday Evening and then dismantle it on the Sunday evening

Cost are as above

payment ......a 25% deposit to be paid upfront and the remainder to be given at the date of the installation ...IE: when the come along on the Friday evening ...a cheque is fine

so for those that are wiling to contribute towards this, could we have your donation sent as soon as you can please

bank trans fer would be the best method simply as there is no delay in it reaching the account

Paypal is going to take a little longer as will have to transfer from there to the bank, and that takes about a week

payment details

Bank Transfer

You can send a payment from your telephone or online banking. The account details are as follows

send it as GIFT please to
