SE3 Restoration (The Chicken Coupe!)

by Shaza » Fri Nov 06, 2015 12:21 am

As most of you know we acquired an SE3 whist at Billing last year. Not in the best condition but too cheap to turn down. It was covered in tree sap, parking dents and a few rusty bits to say the least but it had potential lol!!
After spending a full day polishing she looked quite presentable from a distance!!

When we got home we started to strip the car ready for restoration. One black bag full of pine needles was removed from the interior, engine bay and the boot!

Once the interior was removed Steva set about the dents and rust!

We have now decided to make a job of the old girl so we have 2 new genuine rear quarters to fit and have managed to find a brand new genuine roof skin!

And we have now bought another SE3 that were going to use for spares!

A lot of work to be done!!! Hopefully will be ready for Billing! Will keep you updated on her progress :D

Impressive amount of work! Were the rear quarters hard to track down? Was only discussing doing similar to a mates the other day.
