Funny you say that as we once did a job cutting plates made of 'ballistic' steel so the army could develop shells to pierce it.
1m x 1m plates 150mm thick and they shot holes in it.....amazing.

Flame cutting can be done on carbon steels up to 500mm !!!!

I Used to use NC milling machines with punch tape, and yes the cabinet was full of massive boards lol

Back on topic anyway, use a cake tin Rich.
