Looking good mate, after I saw what a difference they made I thought id buy some LED bulbs for my calibra, they arrived this morning so I thought id go straight out and fit them...........but they are a different size to the normal bulbs, and they don't fit in the connectors  You can see they are slightly longer than the normal bulbs,i thought they would have been the same size???

Thanks buddy.
Glad I inspired you to freshen up your numberplate lamps.
Mate! if you are gentle you will be able to push the connectors out enough to fit the new LED you bought.
fit one side in and bend the opposing to fit the other cap of the LED.

I tried that mate but it was bending the plastic the terminals are seated in, i didn't want to risk breaking them, I will just buy another pair the correct size ( 39mm ) for the sake of a few more quid. :)

Sounds like a plan mate. Sometimes on old brittle car parts best to play it safe sometimes

Mate...

Looks like you've done a professional job on it there...

I hope it's been worth the effort for you...

Thanks mate, it was a lot of effort but it came together very well in the end. Looks almost factory looking but it's custom work!

From foggy clear repeaters to Smoked.
My eyes still need to adjust to the change but I'm convinced that the clear ones on a white calibra win so I'll be hitting the aged clear ones with bleach to see if it will clear them up.

I wish mine didn't have it either, but it's part of Australian law to have one!
Get on some white handles for your calibra man. Modernises the car so much!

Yeah that's right! Like my 1989 merc, wasn't made with one :D
I got my white vectra handles from Eddey Dancer. Contact him he might have some for you. The vectra ones also have better Springs than the calibra ones!
