My W.I.P

by John Owens » Fri Aug 09, 2013 6:43 pm

Another fruitful Calibra day today , 1st I went to Skidz in Falkirk to have new spigot rings fitted to the wheels & I have to say its totally transformed the car at speed , no more vibration so I'm real chuffed with that .
A wee trip over to my lock-up sees me relieve my Gsi ( sniff sniff :'-( ) of its amp & sub . Fits perfectly in the calibra & sounds great ! :-)

Sure will Craig , it's just a pity I didn't buy it a few months earlier or I'd've made them this year . Something to look forward to though :-)

A think ill just enjoy driving her for now Craig as that's her driving spot on . I may turn my attention to the exhaust though as I think it could do with upgrading .

Really liking your work man. I remember the first thing I did to my cali was paint the calipers too :P
I really like the lowered look man its perfect. Just like Eddey said white handles will really modernise your car and give it a whole new look. I did mine about a month ago.. makes it look like a whole new car. The stock black handles stand out a little against the white.
Anyways man great job so far! and you have the best colour calibra like mine.. white <3 ;)

I've always loved these decals on white Opels but at the same time I like the virginal innocence of plain white ...... Hmmm , decisions decisions lol .
Opinions please . Anyone else on the site done this ? Don't want to be a copy cat :-P

Hi John,
Painting the door handles in white would look great.

Visualising the options, I personnal like the second decal style, it has more of a contrast to the white paint work of your cally, although I think you might need to paint the bump strips white to pull it off.

Or what about the door decals from the DTM calibra?

Painting the bump strips too ? Hmmm now there's another good option to consider . Thanks for your input BMJ , appreciated :) As for the DTM chips , i like them but I think they're too big for standardish road cars
