They both look to be in great condition...

I'm thinking of getting me a 2nd Calibra, kept as Standard, but used as a daily...

The Tungsten one, really has some nice features added onto it...

Very Envious...

Right, Started on the Se9 today, first off was a compression test, done front bank only, as pretty obvious it's f**ked!
Watch the video, that's a cold engine, not even been ran, just been turning it over!!!

Ouch!

What I can't understand is, if the compression from the combustion chamber is entering the cooling system, then why is the compression so high? Should it not be low?

must be water in that cylinder and when cranking less air space and the water wont compress hence high reading

So Iv'e started to strip it down (Excuse some of the boring pictures, It'll help me remember where it all goes)

Nice new waterpump, what a waste of time that was!

Fairly recent beltImage

Can anyone confirm, if this appears timed up right, before I undo it? And what's the extra notch for?

Continued on with the Se9:-

Got one head off, check the state of the gasket, the oil doesn't look to healthy either, lots of water in it, bit concerned now, wondering if I'd be better with an engine swap?

Right finally got my finger out, only been a month, Got the rear head off, and sent them to get skimmed, rear gasket whas just as bad, possibly worse than the front... thought V6 gaskets were not a common failure? So hope to have it up and running next week, So If anyway wants a nice clean standard Se9 with new gaskets and belts etc let me know!
