My V6 Journey

by Jasonvadasz » Mon Jun 01, 2020 11:06 pm

Good evening all.

The journey started first week of lockdown when I decided to purchase my first calibra, unfortunately she had not moved for 18 months but still had a little sparkle.

First thing new battery, she fired up but unfortunately not on 6 cylinders.

Changed plugs
Leads

Still not firing all 6.

Finally found it was the iginition switch.

This was the moment I decided to get busy looking around the internet , eBay , Facebook etc , manage to find Milo Chapman who very kindly had many parts and most importantly an iginition switch.

Part arrived , part fitted , she’s running like a new born baby - you know that v6 sound when it’s running on all cylinders!

At this point I’m thinking mot time let’s see what she fails on.

At this point I thought break her or start injecting some big money , called Milo Chapman to see what parts he had in stock and yet again came up trumps supplied me all the parts from a calibra he was breaking.

Can’t thank him enough !!!

All work carried out - Mot passed

Car on the road.

Another great classic saved from the crusher.

I’m trying to upload pictures of the respray and unfortunately there is no link / button to upload.

Also I have messaged the secretary a few times regarding my membership payment which I sent by PayPal last month.

Is there anyway of checking if this has gone through as I’ve got the classic car insurance on my case.

Thanks again

To add photos you have two options, one is to use the site feature which is to select upload attachment:

3A0AD701-DF65-4C3C-99E6-69117B3D24F7.jpeg

Then add it inline which inserts it into the post:

928F3620-2C53-4565-8949-0140A6F0EEAE.jpeg

You can repeat this for as many pics as you have.

Otherwise the other option Is to use Tapatalk which is available for android and iOS and makes posting to the site more “Facebook-like”.

Hope that helps - will ping Andy that you’re looking for him.

Hi, Sorry to respond late to this, I have some personal stuff going on at the moment.

I'm not aware of any messages from you about membership.

Can I ask what paypal address you sent it to and which address you used as there is nothing from you on the Paypal activity list.

Cheers

Andy
