Fault code 0335

Any electrical issues

Crank sensor apparently.

Car is running in limp mode and the engine management light is on.

Could it be that the sensor is faulty?

Can someone tell me where the crank sensor is and what it looks like?

Anna, what Model of Calibra do you have? That would help people in letting you know where the crank sensor is.

By the way, you will get crank sensor errors if you are not running the engine whilst reading the code.

Ecotec by any chance?

All of the 4 pots have their crank sensor below the power steering pump bracket (if your car's got aircon then it'll be behind the air con pump bracket.

If I recall correctly the V6's have them at the front of the engine as well but at the gearbox end, just above the sump.

A new sensor will probably cure the fault but be warned that Ecotecs suffer from interference in the wiring looms and the only long term cure is to fit a modified loom from Vauxhall (as I had to on mine).
