Warning left lights on buzzer

Any electrical issues

by alisdair » Mon Apr 19, 2004 6:11 pm

I know this may sound a bit daft, but I can find where the relay for the light on buzzer is.

Is it in engine or in the car?

Can someone please take a picture of it so I know where it is positioned.

Please

It's in the fuse box to the lower right hand side of the steering wheel. Take the cover off and listen to it. You'll soon know which one it is.

Riggghhhtt, got ya. I can't even check at the mo cos I've left my Cally at work but if you look on the back of the fuse box cover then it should show it's location. The guide on CavWeb says it's on the left and the Vauxhall partnumber is 90 240 665 (this will be embossed into the top of the relay).

90 464 777 is the number I think it might be. It seems to be top left. All the other relays are working for other things and the map on the cover shows this. The one I was looking at the cover has a W as the symbol.
If you have any idea's. Now being here in SA and the calibra being as rare as it is. Can I not just get one from an Astra or something or are they all universal???

Best to get one off a Vectra as they have a nicer sound.

Aha! so this can be done! I always wanted to change the sound to the later version. It,s the little things that make all the difference. So any Later Vauxhall one should fit then?

Wiring going to relay is fine (tested)

Behind ignition barrel and steering column ( wires all checked )
