Dash check lights..

I changed all the bulbs in my dash yesterday expecting a few more to light up but I still only get:

ECU,BATT,ABS,COOLANT,AIRBAG

I can see about 15 other ones that don't light. I know some of these are for automatics but shouldn't some of the other ones light?
It's a '93 K plate 16v

Yeah, there should be brake light check, and oil for starters

On looking on the back of the dash it looks like there is a 3rd conector (which i havn't got) which would power all these additional lights...
Am I just unlucky or is there a problem?

Is fuse 12 OK?
