differences between 92kreg std,and M reg 4x4 door electrics?

Ive just fitted my new un-squashed passenger door to my k reg, its from an m reg turbo, its got side impact bars and my old one hasnt,
ive had to change over the door electrics plug and wires to the new door as the connections are different, the motors and locks work, but ive got 2 microswitches on the new door and only one microswitch on the old one, it all seems to work but what is the other microswitch for, do i need to connect it to anything?
