ECU / Cam sensor problems

Having probelems with an x20xev engine, probelm stored on the ECU is Cam sensor. This has been cleared an a new sensor fitted. but still displays fault on next test. There is a signal on all leads so no problems here ???

History is car was reluctent start but then started & car would not rev over 4500 revs (safe mode limit) no ECU light displayed on dash either. Later that day car cut out whilst driving turn off & restarted straight away when at the side of the road again no ECU light on dash ??? ECU light does light up on test when key is first turned.

ECU VCN is not picked up on test eqt ???
Have also crash tested which list same fault.
Has anybody had similar problems ? Everything seems to be pointing to a fault in the ECU.
