Alarm red light

the alarm jobby in the pass side pillar what does it mean when the red light is constantly on?
and does any clever chappy know how to turn it off like it used to be?

ive tried locking it and unlocking it on the key but its still constantly on :oops:

still dont say what constant red means rob,unless ive missed it

As said in the pic -

Does not flash = system on without passenger compartment monitoring.

And from the V6 link -

The button on the drivers side ultrasonic sensor housing is a "pet" button.
Pressing this button just before you exit the car and set the alarm will disable the ultrasonic sensors in the car's interior.
This allows you to lock and alarm the car while leaving a dog in there.

maybe it's just me being a wee bit thick rob so what do i have to do to turn it off? as i said mate ive tried locking it etc and holding the button down but no joy,i hate electrics with a passion :banging:

i think i broke it sunday with me scanner :lol:

I think its just a case of pushing the button, then lock the car wait 10 seconds and see if it flashes.

What does the red light do in the first 10 seconds after locking the car ?

as i first said rob it stays on constantly :(
ignition on/off locked/unlocked press the button down the lot its just on all the time

i always search on here for the same sort of problems first but once again i have drawn a blank

You could try the paperclip test from the above link, but beware it doesn't work on all cars.

Isnt it an over load light ? Think you most have too much weight in there mate try going to the gym and see if it goes out lol

chances are its something i did on saturday with the laptop :oops: so it should be an easy fix or just smash the led :lol:
