Any electrical issues

'97 V6 Engine Electornics Connectors

by beastboy » Thu Oct 29, 2009 6:31 am

Just fitted new belts and Omega cams, but has taken months to complete. Is there a diagram anywhere which shows what colour plug goes where on the Engine. Are they strictly colour coded?, or should a red plug go in a black socket for instance.?

Cheers

Fraz, thanks,
yes I did have a red plug and black conn', for both the front and rear banks.
But also I have a black plug on the loom on the RH side of the eng' which I am assuning goes to the grey socket on the valve under the top part of the plenum chamber. Is this correct?.

Re previous 'reply', no explanations coz its the first time Ive done pictures and Im struggling.

One pic' shows the 2 red to black knock sensors on the offside of the enine, one for each bank. Correct?.

second pic shows black plug which comes out of loom on nearside of the engine.

third pic' shows grey socket which is on valve under plenum. Black plug in previous pic' does reach and is correct size. Is that the right place.
