Auto to manual geabox wiring

Currently converting a slushbox v6 to a manual gearbox and trying to figure the wiring.

Got a solution to the starter inhibitor wiring already.

Found this snippet of information on VXON for a mk3 cavalier

unplug autobox wiring loom from ecu loom under the bonnet.
unplug gearbox ecu behind glovebox
wire up reversing light switch white/black and black/yellow wires to top of maunal gearbox
bridge out inhibitor starter wire thick black/reds
cut thin black/red on square ecu plug (black or dark green plug) in drivers footwell

Now that only mentions cutting one wire to the ecu, but I'm assuming that is pin 51 on the ecu connection because on v6calibra.net the pinout shows pin 51 as 'load reduction signal' from auto box (on manuals this is unoccupied)
V6calibra.net
Also ecu pin 42 is for auto box coding OR manual ground (-) the pdf pinout shows pin 42 to earth PDF pinout

So it looks like I cut the wire to ecu pin 51, and put the wire from ecu pin 42 to earth.
Sounds about right to me, anyone else got an opinion??
I used to own this Calibra...
I now own this one.
