Trip computer into an SE8?

I purchased a trip computer last weekend and just got round to looking at fitting it today. Ive got the clock out, there is a different connection to the back of the trip comp. I have had a look behind the dash for another cable/ plug. Am I looking in the wrong place or is it just a simple fact that its not compatible. Ive added some pictures to help.

This is what was plugged into the back of the clock.

what you have to do mate is take your glovebox out.then you will see it.

Ive got the glove box out. I will have another look. Is it tied up anywhere?

it should be cable tied to one of the main looms.i found my plug straight away.

the plugs itselfs yellow iirc, its tied up usualy. as said, gloevbox removal, you should see it lurking in there

Yeah I found it ok. It was stuffed down the back of the center console. Take it I need to wire a switch in myself as the isnt a plug under the hand brake?

there should be a plug for the switch aswell.take the centre console out.

not all calibra's got the wiring for the switch, the se8 was one of them it will have to be hard wired , as vauxhall were being cheap when they were building the last calibra's, the se8 didnt get equal length driveshafts either

Ive had all the centre console out there is deffiantely no plug there. The bracket to hold the plug is there but no plug, stupid vauxhall. Why only on the SE8? It's been a quite a while since ive done any electrics on a car. I would really know hwere to tap into on the loom?

all you have to do is add the switches wires to the wires from the yellow plug, they are both the same so it aint rocket science
