no yellow plug for fual comp

just been looking and there is no yellow plug in my motor to up grade from the clock/temp unit to the fuel comp can i still fit the fuel com so that ever thing works and if so how

ps
i think iv got the wires for the switch under the centre consol there is a whiteish block and next to the drivers seat is a bank of wires (mianly brown) at the minute there is nothing in them is this for the switch

it will be there since you have the switch connector...just have to look harder, take glove box out, and feel about as it might be covered with that foam tape stuff they cover the wire with

iv had the glove box, heater controls, stereo,stereo suround out and followed the wireing harnes back and i carnt see anything will it be in the main harnes or will it have its own harnes

it is coming off the main harness that is routed over the top of the glove box then goes round the centre console, it will be there :)

mine was a b***h to find - it was taped back to the harness found it to the left of the heater controls taped back with black tape

They're hard to find. Mine was on the left of the center console down the bottom wrapped in black tape. You juast have to look really hard.

are the brown wires under the centre console definatly for the switch like i said earlyer there is a whiteish plastic block on the block there is 4 positions from the passanger side to the drivers side :- the 1st one is empty the 2nd + 3rd are for the electric windows and the 4th has a block coming out of the block are severl wires mainly brown but i havent unpluged nothing from this one

Look up above the DID unit, thats where mine was and taped right to the yellow connector

Just for info, I found mine yesterday, directly behind DID unit housing, top left right in the corner. Was cable tied tightly to another loom. I managed to cut the cable tie off after removing glove box and accidently snipped one of the wires. :roll:

The dual info display unit, your clock and outside temperature box that you trying to replace with a multi function unit, ie fuel comp.
