Vectra b steering wheel

I fitted one to my calibra did it as the guide says on here now the airbag light wont go out has anyone else had this happen when swapping wheels ?

if you turned on you ignition you'll need to get the car hooked up to a tech1 or a laptop to turn it off, did you connect it up again ?

Ive put my old wheel back on now what if i got a airbag ecu off ebay with know fault code ?

you will still need it pluged into a tech1 or laptop most garages can do it these days for you

I mite just send off the airbag ecu to a company that clears the codes off ?

wouldn't you be cheaper going to your local garage that does diagnostics

The light will need reseting with a tech1 or something similar whichever steering wheel you put back on!

We have a tech1 but your a bit far away lol

So if i put the vectra wheel back on then get the light reset will it stay out ??

Yeah its all wired up right got the vectra squib etc cut the plug off the calibra squib them soldered it to the vectra one

so you must have turned the ignition on before you had all the wires connected ??

did u disconnect the battery BEFORE doing the work? if u didnt then as all people above said you will have to get a tech 1 or iirc something about leaving the battery disconected for just over an hour MAY clear it! but known me i will be wrong.... lol :pray:

well the only way the light would come on ( I presume it was not on prior to the change?)

you have the wries incorrect or not fully connected

or you had the power on while the airbag was disconnectedcted

or the a part your fitting has a fault in it someplace
