reverse lights/alarm warning for headlights

Any electrical issues

Hi guys,

Just wondered if any of you lot might know a possible cure for my reverse lights and alarm warning for headlights (when you leave your lights on and open the door the sily alam sounds) as they both dont work anymore. I've checked the fuse and yes it is the same one which controls both of these items, but this is ok. So any suggestions?

Thanks,
P.

Try looking at the relay!! that works the lights on warning.

Well if your reverse light doesn;t work, then its either the fuse or reverse light switch. There is no relay for the reverse light. The switch is mounted on your gearbox. If you look down your engine bay. you will see a round connector with 2 wires going into it, this sits on top of your gearbox. To see if it works, just disconnect the connector, short out the two pins inside the connector and you should see the reversing light coming on. If they don't, then there is a broken wire/bad contact or a blown bulb?!!

Cheers
