alarm system

Ive got a slight problem with my alarm(META),im not sure what model is or where the activation box is hidden as yet.The problem is for some reason when i arm the car four flashes are seen,but for a brief period the car starts to flash continously until the alarm kicks in.It is bloody annoying at the minute and sometimes at different intervals in the morning it will go off
like a alarm clock.

When i do get the time i will look for the main box and see if the sensitivity switch is located on that box.Im not sure if its a CAT1/CAT2
all i know is to start my car i have to insert a square key into a circuit for a few secs and it starts.

So if anyone could help that would be great

Have you looked round your engine bay, think some of them are located there - is there any history with the car might be a number you could call to get help?

you said that you have to open the card with a central locking fob?? and THEN put a key into the car to get it started

Sounds like you might have 2 units on there then a immob AND an alarm?? - daft question but what does the alarm suond like is it the horn??? - if it is thats the standard alarm?

Yeah as far as i know its a alarm/immobiliser (META not sure about the model and its a alarm sound as it gets on my bloody nerves with the annoying sound lol.

All i know its after market stuff but im not sure where i might be able to find the main box which will tell me the exact model?Do you happen to know roughly where it might be located?

The main unit is most likely to be inside the cabin somewhere. Try removing the glove box and have a good look around there or near the radio area. Failing that try following the connection to the immobiliser point back and see where that goes.
