Changing indicator arm

How do I do it? (well my other half)
Not sure because of the air bag.
Hes got the surround off ok, but theres two screws behind steering wheel
to release the cowling because of the airbag.
Doesnt want it all to go BANG
Garage job?

Just looked in Haynes book and it doesn't say anything about the airbag.

Disconnect the battery neg lead

turn the streeing wheels as necessary to expose the 2 front streeing column shroud screws

remove the 3 securing screws from the underside if the lower column shroud, then remove both the upper and lower shrouds

disconnect the wiring from the switch

depress the switch retaining clip and remove the switch from the housing.
