Does DIII mix with DII pas oil?

by gremlin » Wed Apr 13, 2005 10:01 am

I put some DIII oil in to top up the PAS and realised after adding a bit that i should be using DII. Will this casue much of a problem will they mix or do i need to drain and fill again?

I don't know the difference... but if it were me I'd drain and refill.

I think they mix ok.
But unless its nice and clear red, then its a good excuse to get round to a full change altho, i think you've done this recently anyway from your other post?

How's the best way to drain 4x4 pas then?

I took a look the other day - guessing it'd be best to pull the rubber pipe from the PAS pump off where it joins the metal pipework under the radiator??? just looks very fiddely aronud there with the a/c pipework etc... Any better suggestions?
