Hand brake

by Robs-se » Thu Apr 28, 2005 4:36 pm

when releasing the hand brake the lever feels loose and then
when i drive off it goes POP and back to normal untill the next time you park on a hill and pull on the hand brake.

Is this to do with the pin on the brake shoes not fitting into the back plate properley ie the hole worn too big?

Anyone else suffering from this/cured this. If so how. I hate Hand brakes coz i can never get them right.

Don't think it affects much Rob, unless your on a hill and the handbrake slips a cog, then your car is gonna fall back.

sold the car before fixing it so couldn't tell u the fix mate sorry!
