V6 front brakes

Any issues relating to suspension, steering and brakes.

Anyone got a guide for changing front pads or can you tell me simply what to do, not as straightforward as 16v ones.

Do I remove the 2 allen key bolts holding the sliders?

Cheers

piece of cake.....

under the sping at front, undo the two allen bolts on the slides (8mm IIRC?) withdraw caliper,

refit reverse of removal - using some copa slip to grease the back of the pads.

A tip for yer.......

When I fit new pads I always do this:

Hacksaw a series of slots 10mm apart @45 degrees in a cross hatch pattern. The width of a hacksaw blade and cut about 1/16 deep.

Chamfer all outside edges about 1/16.

This will help bed the pads in, stop a build up on the surface of the pad thus eliminating any future squealing.

Copperslip all rear faces and sliding parts lightly does the trick too, include this on the pins.

Jobs a good' n
