Front passenger suspension

by Robs-se » Sun Jun 22, 2008 9:00 pm

i have GMAX Shocks, lowered 40mm on 215 x 45 x 17 rims

problem is when i go over speed bumps, dips in the road etc it scrubs the front passenger tyre on the arch. there is noticable wear on the outer edge of the tyre where this has been happening.

There is a gap of about 1.5 fingers between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch on the passenger side and 2 fingers on the drivers side.

Have tried the bounce test on that side to see if the shocks failed but that appears ok. only thing i can think of is the strut leg is coming through the doughnut at the top.

Anyone anything else they can advise on looking for.

Cheers

Rob

Would putting 40's on not affect the running ie speedo etc or not make any difference
