Hi everyone,
My cally is sick (again) the two rubber mounted bearings that support the prop have worn out...I asked Vauxhall but no longer serviced, am speaking to propshaft services on Monday again but does not look good ! Does anyone know where I can get some?
Any help much appreciated.
cheers

I would call Autovaux and see what they have to say, they are very good at sourcing parts. or have you already tried them?
Is it the bearing or the rubber thats worn? you could repair the rubber yourself if you can't find anything to source and if the bearings fine.

Thanks mate will try Autovaux, I think it is the rubbers more than the bearings....

The bearing is seperate and is pressed into the rubber mount.

If they are the same part no.s as the Carlton/Senator ones (pretty sure they are) then they are not NLS as I bought one a few months ago.

Plenty kicking about on ebay too

Hi,
You right, the bearing is available through Vauxhall, the problem is the rubber mounts which are not, these are getting old now so secondhand is not ideal, symtoms are a similar noise as top mounts going, my prop is now with a specialist, latest is there is not an aftermarket rubber so we are now looking at using a BMW assembly, will update this site with a solution for anyone else who has or may get this problem in the future asap...I am disapointed with Vauxhall these cars are only just 10 years out of production and this rubber is an essential mechanical item unique to the 4x4 cav / calibra without it 2wd is the only option
