when turning left i can here a uniform clicking or tickingfrom the front. also occasionally when reversing (left hand down) there is a definite clunk as if i have gone over a large stone is this cv joint, my mechanic insists both are fine?
Had a similar occurance about a month ago; turned out to be the bolts holding the wishbones in place (going vertically) need a good turn to secure them properly. There was a faint line around the edge of the bolt head where it had been moving (about .5mm round the bolt head).
