by ecosseM » Sat Jan 10, 2009 4:45 pm

rite all.. am out to try and find out whats the best pads to fit on a calibra turbo.. the most recent set have been cooked(slightly, dont know how :-k ), so, aint working to well at the moment.

so, what i'm looking for, is your thoughts on what pads you either got on your car, or are out there for the car, but not silly priced..

i half looking at either ebc greens, or reds.

maybe even start a poll to see whats best... and why

I've just got a set of Mintex M1144 for mine - not got them on yet, but they got good reviews on various forums, so thats what I went for :)

I've just recently fitted black diamond combi discs with standard pads and that seems pretty good, and only 80% bedded in so far. Far better than standard discs already. SS brake flexi lines makes a difference too.

just changed my pads and disks. had drilled/grooved disks and mintex red box pads this time. hopefully the disks will last a bit longer, they wore out before the pads. Wore uneavenly, outside looked ok but inside had no grooves left on em(piston side). Before you all say it the caliper slides arent seized, moved easily. Must say the braking preformance is noticably better already. just trying to bed them in propperly, no heavy breaking for a few miles.

To be honest, I don't think you need grooved/drilled discs for the road. Just fit a set of green stuff (or similar performance) pads and that should be good enough. Just my opinion.
