steering rack..
quick and easy questions for the people in the know..
how easy is it to change a steering rack on a 4x4 turbo? oh, and how many different ones can go on them? (does the lettering on them stand for anything?)
ta.. looks like mine goot a wee leak, saw it tonight when changing the altinator:x

I changed mine with the engine out and it was still a b***h lol. Will probably need to take the inlet side off to get to it as you cant come up from the bottom. The best replacement is a saginow (not sure of spelling). Got mine from these guys...

steve they are a anbsalute c**t to do as brake master cylinder is in the way and its a dash out job to remove it
there are 2 types metal and an alloy casings yours will be alloy due to being a later car

Shouldnt have to take the dash out to do it just a bit of fiddling in the footwell but yea its not a fun job.
