I've been looking around at shocks springs, coil-overs for my calibra as I'm wanting to lower it extremely...

The lowest spring set ive seen is 70f and 50r,

What would you suggest for such a big drop? I know camber will be well out but thats not a problem I'm worrying about.

I've thought about just buying shortened shocks and just buying 80mm springs, but don't no who sells just those that I want.

Any ideas?

for that kind of drop the only way would be air suspension as rainmaker has said if you want to be able to drive it, would look well good so go for it

yeaaaah u can drive it with it that low! Air supension is pants!! Only really good for show cars, mine isn't a show car.

I no a mate who has air ride on his car, the handling is absolute pants! It's good in a way for getting it that low! but well out my budget and not good handling so its out the question.

I think I'm just gunna get shortened shocks and 80mm springs and strap them in, I've seen that done 2. Just give it a shot! I've seen a cally lowered 100mm all round and it was sick!!! it was at pvs last year for sale!

nice one for the idea though!

That was vic-dub's car and the wheelarchs had a lot of work dune to them to make the wheels fit.

Not only will you need serious arch work but the rear bump stops are likely to be in contact by then...if you can find springs that dont have their coils completely compressed against each other first.

If your serious about it then dont expect to only need different springs/shocks. More work will be needed than just that.

I'm just gauging at the minute, I would like it that low but I'm not gunna modify my arches.

Just wanted to no if anyone has done it, with out major work.

Camber isn't a problem as it's low milage

Just picking up on your above comment joker why is it not a problem for camber as its low mileage, at the level your asking wether you can lower the cally to will put you camber out by around 5deg so the stress on joints and bushes will be very extreme not to mention the excessive wear on the tyres also..youll be riding on a very limited contact patch ie just the inner edge of your tyre..

I acept your gauging at the minute, but consider the potential hazard of poor handling and the danger of this when driving..

I only mention this as I recently had a rear suspension issue on my current car and drove around 1000 miles with fault not aware the rear camber was out as far as it was, 1000 miles later and my tyres were shot on the inside edge..

Yeah it sort of makes sense that going that low would cause problems, how did vic dub get around it? Other than the arch work needed.

recently i had to drop mine as a spring broke and even 40mm is a good drop , but people have dropped 60mm but surely anything above that will be crazy ispecially for speedhumps,etc
